  • How long does the course last?
The course lasts a minimum of 12 months and during this period you will learn all that is needed to reach the occupational standard. You then enter the ‘EPA Gateway’ and complete an evaluation of a project or campaign you contributed to, and produce additional content, then the assessment takes place.
  • What is an End Point Assessment (EPA) and is it difficult?
The End Point Assessment is designed to assess if you have reached the occupational standard. It has two components: A campaign evaluation report of a project you have contributed to and developed content for in the last 6 months. A presentation of additional/new content with questions and answers. For this you will develop new content following your evaluation, explaining the expected impact, and why you chose the platforms you did. You will produce a mood board or other visual aid and present your planning documents such as a storyboard or outline script to support the content production. This provides useful experience ready for real-life work experiences. Leading up to this you will have gained the knowledge and skills through the learning previously described, and this will have been consolidated within your actual work. Your tutor is there to support you in preparing for the assessment and you will enter the gateway fully prepared and ready.
